Daylight Savings Time and Time Zones

Daylight Savings Time

Beginning in 2007, both the United States and Canada have extended the duration of Daylight Savings Time by four weeks. The extended Daylight Savings Time will begin 3 weeks earlier on the second Sunday of March at 2:00 AM (local time) and will end a week later on the first Sunday of November at 2:00 AM (local time).
For 2007, Daylight Savings Time will begin on March 11th at 2:00 AM and will end on November 4th at 2:00 AM (local time).
Before you go to bed on March 10th, remember to set your clocks ahead by one hour. Set your clocks behind by one hour on November 11th. As the saying goes: "Spring forward and fall back".
So on March 11th, 7:00 AM becomes 8:00 AM (you lose an hour).
On November 12th, 7:00 AM becomes 6:00 AM (you gain an hour).
Last observed in 2006, the old Daylight Savings Time standard began on the first Sunday in April and ended on the last Sunday of October.
